by | Feb 9, 2017 | All, Master, Moral Foundations

Jeremy Walker

This is lesson 2 of the systematic Bible study of the Book of Jonah which covers Jonah 1:9-17. Practical advice is given to parents and teachers on how to teach these verses, and important doctrines are pointed out and discussed. The doctrines being covered are: #1 – The fear of God is the principle characteristic of true belief. #2 – God has personal control of the natural world which obeys the will of God. #3 – The providence, control, or foreknowledge of God over all of creation and time are complete and  unavoidable. #4 – True encounters with God are terrifying, rather than inspiring.
