After working in the Middle East, God directed us to Malaysia where we recently got our professional visas. We pursued working here when we became aware of the needs of the stateless children. Helen was adopted and both of us feel strongly, the need for God’s people to follow His Word obediently, to care for the fatherless and widow. We believe God has put us in a unique place to serve these children. Recently, we were approached about adopting stateless twins whose mother wants to relinquish her rights. They were born prematurely and have been in the hospital for the past two months. Now that they are ready to be discharged, the medical expenses are costly and the preemies will need ongoing medical care. Other couples have backed out, but we believe that to refuse would be to reject God’s command.
Cross & Crown Church Plant – The Garwoods

After sensing the Lord’s leading, the Garwood family has decided to step out in faith to plant a new community called “Cross & Crown Church.” The vision? All of Christ, for all of life. The mission? To press the crown rights of King Jesus into all areas of life.
The Garwood’s will be moving to Northern Virginia to team up with a core group of Christian Reconstructionists who desire to apply the law-word of God to all areas of life. This is simply a short-hand way of describing our vision for carrying out the Great Commission.
We long to see a flourishing community built on the biblical principles of self-government, family government, church government, and civil government. That’s our strategy: to apply the Bible to all of those areas so that our lives are marked by consistency and fervency. We aim to plant seeds of long term dominion to see Christian institutions built up in the highly strategic Northern Virginia area, just outside of Washington, D.C.
Jason plans on searching for part time work to help their finances until Cross & Crown is a self-sustaining church. The core families involved in the plant are mostly young families with young children. Initially we need to raise $50,000 or $4,200 per month over the first year to help get Cross & Crown up and running, assist the Garwood’s in moving from their home in Michigan, and to help cover living expenses. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us in this exciting work?

Lee Weiland of Gospel Jitsu Surgery

Lee’s wife was a speech pathologist for the public schools and Lee was a teacher. They were making over 150K per year not including benefits. But because they wanted to be faithful to God, support homeschool, and raise their children and not hand them over to the public schools, they quit and opened a business. They put everything on the line. After 2 years their business is growing and by any standard is successful, but still struggling to get above water after going all in. They had a son in the meantime and could not afford healthcare.
Lee’s main job is running all of the athletic training, programming, and fitness instruction, which includes his own training and a lot of hands on work with the athletes at the gym. This is a great thing for the community and God is really challenging them with these obstacles.
Lee suffered a bicep tear which if left unfixed would have caused major damage later. There was about an 80% tear in the distal tendon at the elbow which required surgery. The risk of full rupture would have always been there if it didn’t get fixed, and it was already extremely painful and barely functional for being able to do things like hold his son and do household things, let alone train or spot students. The fact that his career is extremely physical and athletic makes this a pretty serious situation.
Faith in God and trusting Him has been extremely difficult at the present time, but he believes God wants him to take this injury and turn it into something valuable. That is why he is documenting the whole process and recovery. The price of the surgery alone was $20,000 and they were already struggling. Please prayerfully consider giving to help the Weiland family pay for this unexpected surgery.
Trade School College Fund for Homeschoolers

The leadership at Reconstructionist Radio have set up a fund for homeschool grads that would help and may fully pay for a technical school training/certification for vetted young men and women seeking to take the reins of the baby boomer generation, that is beginning to exit the full time work force.
There is, and will be, an ever growing shortage on professional trades due in part because of the indoctrination of the past generations that college and a Bachelors degree is a must. While more and more have taken this advice, those with college degrees abound, and there is a shortage of those with professional trade education.
Simply stated, in order for this fund to work we must have the funds, and a desire to help the future generation in getting on the road to leading the way in the professional trades.
(Homeschoolers will need to have graduated recently, be enrolled in a tech/trade school or ready to graduate from homeschool within a year. If this is you, write an essay to the Board of Directors of Reconstructionist Radio explaining the path you intend to take into the future, and what you have done in the past and present to ensure future success. Send the essay to firstname.lastname@example.org ATTN: Trade/Tech School.)
Again this can only work with support. Those who support will get a quarterly update from the young man or woman they are supporting.
