There is a small host of arguments that theonomists hear pretty routinely from people who don’t like the idea of obeying God’s Law today. Some of these arguments make us want to pull our hair out, and proclaim that, “Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a dumb question.” Pastor Gordan Runyan is losing his hair anyway, so we thought we’d have him tackle these bad arguments. Free Speech: what is it and why is it free? With Elon Musk’s $44 Billion purchase of Twitter, the question of what constitutes free speech is now a national conversation. Or at the very least, it’s a national yelling match. But how does Scripture view the relationship between freedom and speech?
